The Diaries of Edmund Montague Morris: Western Journeys, 1907-1910

Features writings, artwork and maps by Edmund Morris, son of Treaty negotiator Alexander Morris. The work illuminates his paintings of Chief Acoose, as well as other prominent Indigenous leaders of the early 1900’s. Morris painted Chief Acoose twice; his first portrait is part of the Royal Ontario Museum Art Collection, while the second portrait is part of the Sask Legislative Building Art Collection.
